FIRST WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTISE( 5/11/22 TO 9/11/22)

On 5th December 2022, Monday, we a group of 13 student teachers from KUCTE Kunnam went to M. S. S. H. S Thazhakkara for our very first day of Teaching practise. We arrived by 9:30 am. I could remember how tensed and excited I was for the first day in school. We met Headmaster and signed our register and we joined the morning prayer of faculties. With this we had blissful start for the day. We were already informed with the timetable and portions to be taken. Since students have to be ready for their second term exam within a week time. We were informed to try to complete certain portions in specific divisions of 8 th and 9 th standard. That day I had no alloted period. Hence for the day I utilised the time for completing my record works

On the Second day ( 6/12/22) of teaching practise I had class alloted as per the timetable given by jisha teacher( physical science teacher) in 7 th period  for class 9B. I started Physics Work, Energy and Power. I could complete the class as per the lesson plan. It was Malayalam medium class and I find it difficult to use the terms in malayalam, but I managed it and decided to learn the terms more thoroughly. I took some time to manage the class and then started the lesson. I gave them activity cards. They find it really interesting and were very attentive after that. I had a satisfying experience

The next day (7/12/22) was a regional holiday

On the fourth day  ( 8/11/22) I went for my second class. It was 9B, it had only 9 students.As per the timetable alloted subject is chemistry but for the completion of exam portions I took Physics there as a continution of my first class. I got a class management duty for 5 th standard in third hour. I felt happy to meet the students. I introduced myself and asked students to do the same. It became a little difficult to manage them of time passed

On the next day ( 9/11/22) I had to take class for 8A in second and third hour I started the portion Reflection of light in spherical mirrors. I completed the lesson plan and gave them activity cards. I felt difficult to manage that class and tried to grab their attention to the topics taught. Tried to involve maximum students in classroom activities.

I wrapped up the week with both satisfaction and realisations and noted the factors that require improvements.
